Caroline Swyers, PT, DPT, CERT. DN
Dr. Caroline Swyers was driven to a career in the healthcare industry early on as it would allow her to combine her passions for learning about the mechanics of the human body and for working with people and giving back to the local community. Caroline earned a B.S. in exercise science at Grove City College, where she had the opportunity to work alongside the head athletic trainer during football season. She gained a greater appreciation for orthopaedics and the entire rehabilitation process here, as she assisted in providing care for athletes at the time of an injury on the field through to their return to play.
She went on to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Slippery Rock University, graduating in 2016. Soon after she began her career in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in northern NJ, where she was born and raised, treating a wide variety of both orthopaedic and neurological conditions. Her mission as a physical therapist is to optimize each patient’s physical therapy experience by utilizing a hands-on approach in combination with a strong bedside manner to develop a trusting relationship with her patients. This then allows her to provide patients the tools they need to promote long-lasting changes to improve their overall quality of life.
Currently, Dr. Schmitt is pursuing advanced credentialing in manual therapy. She recently relocated to North Carolina and is excited about the opportunity to provide high level patient care to both the Siler City community and the surrounding areas.
